I am back from Vacation and a Freebie...

I just returned from a week of paradise with my family and close friends!  We went to Treasure Island Fl.  Because we are from the Midwest, I love going to the ocean!!!  Swimming, boating, dolphins, sand, sun, relaxing!! The weather was perfect, who would have guessed it would be cooler in Florida than back home. I am really jealous of all you bloggers from Florida and California :)

While I was away I got a wonderful email from Laura over at Kinder Kraziness about featuring me in her "Someone New" post!!  Head over there and check it out!  Thank you Laura!!  She has an awesome blog!!!!

Now that I am back... I needed to get myself back in the school mode.  I created a little back to school freebie!!  I plan to have my brand new Kinders draw their faces in this fancy frame, and attempt to write their little names in the bottom of it.  I made one for Kinder, First Grade, and one that can be used for any grade. I hope you can use it.  Click Here to head over to my TPT store and get your freebie!!!

Cement Pavers Project

My daughter had been begging for cement paving stones in our landscaping  We have river rocks and she never seems to have her shoes on when she goes outside.  She wanted a little path.  We picked up some cheap stones, got out the craft paint, and we had our fun little outdoor craft afternoon.

I loved how colorful they turned out.  I tried really hard to figure out a use for one of these in my classroom....  No luck.
My 7 year old did this one.

July Crafts

I can't believe I haven't been to school at all this summer!!! I am just too happy spending time with my own kids, and lovin being home with our new puppy.  I should be busy making things for my classroom, but instead I am focusing on my house, and kids!!!
Here are a couple of projects that have kept me busy the past 2 weeks.

Project #1 a colorful Fourth of July Wreath.  This was made from three old T-Shirts, a wire hanger, and one piece of ribbon.  I cut the t-shirt into 6 inch strips, stretched them, and tied them all around the wire hanger.  A free project that took about 1 1/2 hours.
My 3 old t-Shirts, cut into strips, and stretched.

The bent hanger, with t-shirt scraps tied all around.

Project #2 Cute Headbands.  I used more old t-shirts for this project.  I took three pieces and braided them.  A little hot glue, and an elastic band to add to the back for a little more stretch.  My daughter loves her neon colors, we had to make a patriotic one too!

Our Puppy!  He is so cute, but a lot of work!!!!
Project #3 I haven't really completed yet... but my sister is getting married this month, I have her shower next week.  I had better get busy.
