My Kinders spent the past two weeks learning about polar bears.  Who doesn't love those giant teddy bear like animals?  We read several fiction and non-fiction books. We labeled a giant polar bear poster for our classroom, and did polar bear paintings.

100th Day and 100 Followers!!!

How special for me...  We celebrated our 100th day this week, and I got my 100th blog follower!
(My special 100th follower giveaway coming soon....)
We had such a great day.  Here are a few activities we did...
*Students made their own special 100th day shirts at home to wear on our special day.
I love all of their different ideas!

*We wrote 100 words.  I made 5 posters for our class.  4 kids worked on each poster (each kid got to write 5 words.) I have 20 kids!
*We did 100 exercises. We broke it into 10's and worked on this all day long.
*We made our 100th day snack mix.
*We made 100th day crowns.
*We made 100th day glasses.
*Read books, wrote, played games, WHAT FUN!

Wild about Awards!

Thank you to Lil' Country Kindergarten and My Kindergarten Kids for awarding my blog with the Versatile Blogger Award!  How fun for me!  Marlana even helped me figure out my new button!!!  I just love reading blogs and getting tons of great ideas!  I also love sharing ideas!
1. Thank the person who presented the award to you and link back to them.

2. Tell seven things about yourself.  I shared 11 things about myself this past week in the 11 in 11 linky party.  Here is that post.

3. Pass this on to 15 newly discovered blogs and let them know they've received the award.
Check out these great blogs that are full of fantastic ideas!!!

New Year Freebie Game

Happy New Year!  To kick off 2012... here is a free spinner game to enjoy!  My kinders love spinner games.  Grab a paper clip and pencil.  Punch a tiny hole through the middle of the spinner,  and you have all the materials for your spinner.

This game can be used in a math station, or played in a large group.  Print out one 100 chart for each player. The player to color in all the tiles first wins!  A great way to get ready for the 100th day (which is right around the corner for me.)
I hope you like this fun freebie!
I hope your new year is off to a great start!!!!!
