I ordered this "free" tote from Vistaprint.com this summer. It was one of my free items after I paid some shipping. It will be perfect for sending home some class books we have made. So far we have managed to put together three. How many letters in my name, How do I get to school, and Kindergarten and the purple crayon. I will start sending these home this week!

http://teachersnotebook.com/shop/wildaboutteachingThis is what your students are going to tell you after playing number games using these colorful number cards. This is a great freebie to use in your classroom! Please have fun in your classroom, but do not resell these number cards!

We just completed our first week (3 days) of kindergarten! My new students are really sweet. I had 3-4 days to completely moving into my new classroom, unpack, set up, organize, decorate, label... you know all the work that goes into the first week. Here are a couple pics of my fun safari gear. My favorite is the palm/chicka chicka tree that my husband helped me make. The leaves are made out of felt. We took a left over piece of drain supplies out of the garage and painted it brown. Now I need to add some colorful letters.

I have been very busy moving into my new classroom this week. They just opened the door this afternoon. It is fun setting up a brand new room, but a bit challenging too. Here are a couple of things I made to add to my safari gear! The cute crates are just like the ones everyone is blogging about. I purchased this little table for my library area and just couldn't leave it plain. I took out my new cricut and now it looks like kindergarten. I also added a little zebra flair on the side!

Who is he......
Zero the Hero is a special superhero. He only comes on days ending in ZERO. He came on our 10th day. We did not get to see him because he came during recess. Luckily our “hidden” camera caught a couple pictures of him.
On our 10th day he brought cookies!
On our 20th day he brought supplies to make bracelets with 10 beads.
On our 30th day we got to write 30 on a plate and use GLITTER!
He kept coming all the way through our 100th day of school.
This year I would like to make a better "puppet" we shall see if I find the time. :)
